Villa Grace

Getting about
The villa manager can (with advance booking) arrange transport at an additional cost. Alternatively local taxis and drivers and riders for Grab and Gojek are a good alternative – easy and very cost effective.

HOUSEKEEPING

The housekeeper will be at the villa from Monday to Saturday between 9am and 4pm. She will keep the villa clean, tidy whilst ensuring you have as much privacy as possible, if you have any specific requests pls reach out directly or through the villa manager. Beds will be made daily sheets changed weekly.

Towels provided are for use in the villa, please don’t take them outside.

There is no washing machine at the villa but there are numerous launderettes nearby.

Outdoor lights

The lights in the garden are on a timer, they will come on automatically in the evening. They will stay on during the night and turn off in the morning. Please turn off the other lights when retiring at night.

POWER

Power (electricity) in Bali can be erratic. It’s possible that you will experience a power outage at some time. If things don’t return to normal, please contact the villa manager.

The Pool

The pool is regularly cleaned and chemically treated. For your safety please make sure adequate supervision is provided and also note that sandstone and decking around the villa is extremely slippery when wet. Please be very careful and ensure everyone in your group understands to take care! You are using the villa and its contents entirely at your own risk.
The pool is cleaned twice a week on Monday and Friday (usually).
Occasionally the pool will overflow to the flowerbed behind, if it does please check the white grate on the left of the overflow – its probably blocked with foliage.

SECURITY

The villa has a CCTV system installed, this can be turned-off when the villa is occupied. If you have any concerns, please let the manager know.
Ensure that you lock all the doors whenever you leave the villa, we also recommend keeping the main gate closed.
Small hotel safes are available in the master bedroom and second bedroom.

SHOPPING

The nearest shop is Fantasy Supermarket just on the Canggu road – they have most essential items. Including bags of ice at less than Rp10k.
Copenhagen coffee house in the village sells excellent sourdough and pastries, numerous other outlets also operate in the village and well worth a visit.

Water

The tap water in the villa is filtered but not drinkable, please use the water dispenser in the kitchen for drinking. The hot water is hot enough for coffee / tea.

WIFI / TV

WIFI is available throughout the villa.

The televisions provided are smart TVs feel free to log into your favourite streaming service whist at the villa. A local TV box is provided in the third bedroom and DVD players are available.

GENERAL INFO & TIPs

• We’re not here to ruin anyone’s fun, but please, no parties or events.
• Absolutely NO smoking indoors in the villa – If you would like to smoke, please do so outdoors.
• Take extra care of the villa keys, lost keys will incur a replacement fee.
• We’ve spent the last six weeks at the villa – some hints and tips that you may find useful:
  • To create a draft through the villa, we suggest you open the first sliding window above the sink and open up the main doors near the water dispenser.  A welcome cool breeze.
  • Closing the doors requires a good tug, don’t worry they are strong!
  • In the living room, its easier to lock the doors before securing the floor lock.
  • The bean-bags are great for reading in the gazebo under the fan!
  • If you need to fish anything out the pool or pond, nets are behind the Gazebo (also a rake for the garden).
  • When the right-hand light on the water dispenser flashes you will need to change the water bottle.   The plastic tops are tight, please don’t use a sharp knife to remove this, there are some small pliars in the drawer near the back door to help.
